Meet the Staff
Eric is the Clinic Director at the ProRehab Physical Therapy Brownsboro Road clinic in Chenoweth Plaza.
Eric earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Bellarmine University. He is Board Certified in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialist. Eric is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a member of American Physical Therapy Association and the Kentucky Physical Therapy Association.
Eric’s practice focuses on the development and implementation of functional rehabilitation programs, return to sport rehabilitation programs, and performance enhancement programs for athletes of all ages and backgrounds. He takes special interests in the evaluation and rehabilitation of golfers and is certified through multiple organizations including the Titleist Performance Institute. He also has experience working with athletes in youth organizations, pro and amateur triathletes, MMA, NCAA, MLB, and the NFL. Eric is a ProRehab Physical Therapy partner and Director of Performance Enhancement
In his spare time, Eric enjoys being outside with wife and 2 kids. His hobbies include hiking, golf, fishing, and skiing.
David Boyce PT, EdD, OCS, ECS, is an Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy at Bellarmine University and partner of ProRehab Physical Therapy. David founded Physical Therapy Plus which merged with ProRehab Physical Therapy in 2015. David has advanced training in Orthopedic Manipulative Therapy and is author of the book “Orthopedic Physical Therapy Secrets”. He is dual board certified in Orthopedic and Electrophysiologic Physical Therapy. David is also the only USA certified cycling coach in the Louisville area. He specializes in the treatment of shoulder, cervical spine, knee, and foot injuries, especially as they relate to swimming, cycling, and running.
Edward is the Clinic Director of the ProRehab Physical Therapy Prospect location.
Edward earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Bellarmine University. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Kentucky Physical Therapy Association.
He has over 10 years experience utilizing proper training techniques and biomechanics to develop strength and explosive power in football, hockey, basketball, lacrosse, and USA power lifting athletes. Edward prides himself in providing his patient fun and functional rehabilitation that promotes self-sufficiency.
Daryl is ProRehab Physical Therapy’s Highlands Clinic Director and an Athletic Trainer at St. Francis School.
Daryl earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Bellarmine University. He is a member of American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the Kentucky Physical Therapy Association, and is also an APTA Sports Certified Specialist.
He has a special interest in orthopedic physical therapy and the development and implementation of performance enhancement programs for athletes of all ages and backgrounds.
Alex Shefflette, Strength Coach, is the Director of ProRehab’s allPro Sports Performance Program. Alex graduated from California State University in Monterey Bay with a degree in Kinesiology and an emphasis on Exercise Science. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Alex has extensive experience training and assisting in the rehabilitation of athletes and is passionate about performance enhancement for all levels, from Olympians to young aspiring athletes.
Laurel came to Louisville by way of Birmingham, AL, where she had spent the past 2.5 years coaching for Birmingham Swim League. She swam for Western Kentucky University and is the current school record holder in the 1,000 yard freestyle.
Laurel works at the GE site as a Physical Therapy Tech, and also has a strong passion for swimming and strength training.
In her free time, Laurel enjoys running and loves to follow swimming news and results from across the world.
Sean has been working in the field of Physical Therapy for over 13 years and in sports enhancement for 6 years. Though he works with many athletes in the Louisville area, Sean is a long-time coach of Louisville Skating Academy’s off-ice strengthening program. He is also studying to be a sports enhancement specialist and is always pushing to learn more about training techniques.
Sean enjoys spending his free time with family and participating in outdoor activities like fishing and golf.
Chris is an integral role of patient care at three of our Louisville clinics, working with pre-treatment and post-treatment maintenance and fitness plans. He maintains a well-rounded exercise science background and has special interests in Sports Performance Training with athletes of all ages, as well as those who want to train like an athlete. He is also a firm believer in proper functional training and human performance. Chris spent his athletic career playing football, soccer, and basketball at St. Xavier High and Evangel Christian School.
