  • Nicholas Austin

    Nicholas AustinPT, DPT, OCS, CSCS

    Nicholas is ProRehab Physical Therapy’s LaGrange Clinic Director. 

    Nicholas Austin is a partner of ProRehab Physical Therapy.  He earned his Masters of Science in Physical Therapy and Bachelor of Health Science from the University of Kentucky in 2001. Nicholas when on to complete his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2011. He is an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Nicholas has extensive training in Trigger Point Dry Needling and is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Orthopedic and Private Practice Sections.

  • Larry Benz

    Larry BenzDPT, OCS, MBA

    Dr. Benz is a co-founder and co-owner of ProRehab Louisville.

    Dr. Benz is nationally recognized for his expertise in private practice physical therapy and occupational medicine. A frequent lecturer at PT programs, national conferences, and MBA programs throughout the country, he has been on the American Physical Therapy Association’s (APTA) Advisory Panel on Practice and The Board of the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and is currently a Trustee with the Foundation for Physical Therapy (foundation4pt.org), Physical Therapist Business Alliance (PTBA), and University of Louisville.

    He is the recipient of numerous business and physical therapy awards including the Kentucky Physical Therapy’s Outstanding Physical Therapists award and Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the year for his region. In May 2012, Dr. Benz was awarded the prestigious 2012 Robert G. Dicus Award for his outstanding contributions to both the Private Practice Section of the APTA and the APTA. He is the co-developer of physicaltherapist.com and blog.evidenceinmotion.com, the first and largest blog devoted to the principles of EBP in physical therapy.  Dr. Benz’s Foundation is the co-developer of Jacmel Rehabilitation in Haiti which can be found at PThelpforHaiti.org.

  • Patricia G. Benz

    Patricia G. BenzPT, DPT

    Dr. Patricia G. Benz received her Bachelor of Health Science from the University of Kentucky’s Physical Therapy Program and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Evidence In Motion. She is affiliated with the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) on both national and local levels, as well as the Private Practice Section and Orthopaedic Section.

    Dr. Benz’s interests lie in outpatient orthopaedic manual therapy with an emphasis on upper extremities. Her areas of focus are general orthopaedics, would care, hand therapy, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, outcome studies, and consulting for businesses. She has spent time providing volunteer physical therapy services to Green Hill Hippotherapy, University of Miami Hospital, Haiti, and Jacmel Physical Therapy Clinic and also developed and directed SECC Strength and Balance classes.

    Patricia has been married for 27 years to Laurence Benz, President and CEO of Confluent Health and ProRehab Louisville. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with their three grown children, cycling, golfing, painting (oil medium), hiking, and skiing.

  • David Boyce

    David BoycePT, EdD, OCS, ECS

    David Boyce PT, EdD, OCS, ECS, is an Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy at Bellarmine University and partner of ProRehab Physical Therapy. David founded Physical Therapy Plus which merged with ProRehab Physical Therapy in 2015.  David has advanced training in Orthopedic Manipulative Therapy and is author of the book “Orthopedic Physical Therapy Secrets”. He is dual board certified in Orthopedic and Electrophysiologic Physical Therapy. David is also the only USA certified cycling coach in the Louisville area. He specializes in the treatment of shoulder, cervical spine, knee, and foot injuries, especially as they relate to swimming, cycling, and running.

  • Marcia Boyce

    Marcia BoycePT

    Marcia earned her Physical Therapy Degree from Grand Valley University in Michigan in 1989, and was a home health care therapist for over 10 years. She is a member of American Physical Therapy Association and the Kentucky Physical Therapy Association. Marcia’s love is treating geriatric patients.

    Marcia founded Physical Therapy Plus, which merged with ProRehab Physical Therapy in 2015. She now serves as ProRehab Physical Therapy’s Chief Financial Officer.

  • Eric McElroy

    Eric McElroyPT, DPT, OCS, CSCS

    Eric is the Clinic Director at the ProRehab Physical Therapy Brownsboro Road clinic in Chenoweth Plaza.

    Eric earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Bellarmine University. He is Board Certified in Orthopedic Physical Therapy by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialist. Eric is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a member of American Physical Therapy Association and the Kentucky Physical Therapy Association. He has a special interest in the development and implementation of functional rehabilitation programs, transitional rehabilitation programs, and performance enhancement programs for athletes of all ages and back grounds. He has experience implementing those programs with athletes in youth organizations, pro and amateur triathletes, MMA fighters, NCAA, MLB, and the NFL. Eric is a ProRehab Physical Therapy partner and Director of Performance Enhancement.

  • Patrick Myers

    Patrick MyersPT, DPT, OCS, MS, COMT

    Patrick is ProRehab Physical Therapy’s Middletown Clinic Director. 

    Patrick Myers founded Apex Physical Therapy, which partnered with ProRehab Physical Therapy in 2015. He earned his BA in Exercise Science and MS in Physical Therapy from the University of Kentucky and his MS in Exercise Physiology from the University of Louisville and has been active in the physical therapy professional since 1993. Patrick went on to complete his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Evidence In Motion in December 2010. He is a Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) and is the only Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT) in Louisville. Patrick has extensive training in Trigger Point Dry Needling and is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the American Association of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT).
